Empower Blind People: A Day in the Life
Produced a video for the non-profit foundation Empower Blind People about their blindness skills training program.
Empower Blind People (EBP) is a Bishkek-based non-profit foundation with the goal of improving the lives of blind people by empowering them with skills to live independent and self-directed lives. Their work combines residential programs, immersive orientation and blindness skills training, and workshops for parents of blind children. By implementing the most effective strategies developed by international blindness organizations, EBP aims to change what it means to be blind in Central Asia.
This video was produced over the course of one of EBP’s four-month comprehensive blindness skills training programs (August – November 2015). Join the staff and students of Empower Blind People as they follow their mission to increase independence, grow relationships, and improve the lives of blind people throughout Central Asia and former Soviet republics.
