Energy Efficiency in Kyrgyzstan
Produced an informational video highlighting Public Foundation CAMP Alatoo’s successful initiative to spread energy efficiency awareness in Kyrgyzstan.
CAMP Alatoo’s Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies project is part of a national climate initiative. The goal of the initiative in Kyrgyzstan is to conserve and protect natural resources in the country’s unique walnut-forest region.
The initiative includes training modules in energy conservation; training on thermal insulation of houses for craftsmen in rural areas; workshops on the construction of energy-efficient stoves and ovens; training on the construction of energy-efficient greenhouses; capacity building on institutional development of trained craftsmen; and rural microcrediting for financing the application of energy-efficient technologies.
The video highlights training on thermal insulation of houses and the advantages for rural communities in the Arslanbob walnut forest region to build and use energy-efficient stoves and ovens.
